　　新西兰奥克兰的新媒体艺术家约瑟夫·迈克尔日前在新西兰北岛的一处石灰岩洞穴里拍摄到众多萤火虫。在漆黑洞穴中飞舞的成千上万只萤火虫，犹如夜空中闪耀的繁星。

　　

Auckland, New Zealand photographer Joseph Michael recently photographed many glowworms in New Zealand's North Island in a limestone cave. Thousands of glowworms dance in the dark cave, shining like stars in the night sky.

据悉，这处石灰岩洞穴已经有3000万年历史。迈克尔拍摄的照片如同技艺非凡的画家创作的美妙图画，但实际上这是大自然的杰作。这些萤火虫学名为小真菌蚋，是新西兰的特有物种，身体能发出醒目的荧光。

It is reported that the limestone cave has 3,000 years of history. Michael is an extraordinary photographer, but in fact it is a masterpiece of nature. The scientific name is Arachnocampa luminosa, and it’s body can emit fluorescent light.

迈克尔利用长时曝光技术拍摄了多张照片，有的照片用时甚至超过了1个小时。他为这组照片取名为“Luminosity”，意在展现萤光虫独有的美丽。

Michael’s techniques include more than one photo shoot and often take long time. Some photographs even take longer than one hour. He named this group of photos "Luminosity" to display the unique beauty of the bioluminescent insects.
